Ukrainian authorities have declared the commencement of large-scale manufacturing for an innovative domestically developed defensive UAV to strengthen its aerial protection systems. Three initial manufacturers have started production, with an additional eleven preparing to establish production lines, the defence ministry announced this past Friday.

Advanced 'Octopus' System Proven in Combat Situations

These UAVs utilize a nationally created system called “Octopus” designed to intercept Iranian-made drones. The system has been tested in combat and demonstrated successful “during nighttime, amid electronic warfare and flying low,” officials confirmed. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has set a target of producing as many as 1,000 interceptors each day.

Latest Assault on the Capital Characterized as Calculated

Volodymyr Zelenskyy characterized Moscow's most recent assault on Ukraine as “intentional, premeditated and wicked” after six individuals lost their lives and many others wounded in a wave of night-time strikes across Kyiv. Moscow intends to manufacture as many as 120,000 guided aerial bombs this year, a high-ranking Ukrainian defense official said, including 500 of an innovative, extended-range model that can reach additional urban centers. Moscow's military were firing 200 to 250 glide bombs per day, with last month’s average daily usage standing at approximately 170, according to official military statistics.

Kyiv's Strikes Focus on Moscow's Oil Facilities

Moscow's Black Sea port of the port city temporarily suspended oil exports on Friday – representing 2% of worldwide oil production – following a Ukrainian missile and drone attack. Military commanders in Kyiv stated its military had fired domestically produced missiles and deployed various types of strike drones in the attack on Novorossiysk “as part of operations to reduce the military and economic potential of the invading force.”

Ukrainian forces additionally struck a processing plant in the Saratov area and a fuel storage facility in nearby Engels during the night.
