The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Has Passed Away in a Los Angeles Traffic Collision
Vince Zampella, the mind behind the immensely successful first-person shooter Call of Duty, has tragically died in a traffic collision in California aged 55.
Zampella's death was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, a game studio which he helped establish.
The renowned game designer passed away following his car crashed and was engulfed in flames on a motorway in Los Angeles on Sunday morning, US media outlets report.
"This is a heartbreaking loss, and our deepest sympathies go to Vince's family, his loved ones, and everyone impacted by his work," an official with Electronic Arts commented.
