Soccer Expert Chris Sutton Faces Off Against Artist Murs in Premier League Predictions

Arsenal's ten-match victorious streak was ended by Sunderland prior to the international hiatus, however can the English top division leaders bounce back against north London rivals Spurs this Sunday?

"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a plan for this game," remarked football specialist Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will attempt to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still manage to win."

The analyst is making predictions for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, versus AI, fans and a variety of guests.

For the twelfth round, he takes on singer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United fan.

The singer's new record, the new release, is out on Friday.

Soccer and Family Life

Murs is a talented soccer player as well as a successful singer and has been a star of several charity football matches over time - but he is not planning a professional return as a player.

"{I actually played in a charity game the other night for a friend of mine," he explained. "The side was losing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!

"I continue to love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it even now hasn't fully recovered. I hope I could play more but the uncertainty of the game means it's too risky for me in my career to do it properly again.

"Plus I am 41 now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my daughter or son decides to play instead."

The singer and his wife his partner have a young family, their daughter and Albert, and he is prepared to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their coach.

"I will not push football on our children but I've already told Amelia that if they do get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be managing their Saturday soccer side," he said.

"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I really got into it, and I clearly owned a soccer team for a while too.

"My dad coached with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I get it from. He coached our team for several years and had great fun with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Premier League Predictions

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea might have to be patient for their star's return from injury but their offense is now stronger with Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.

I still think this fixture will be quite close, though. Burnley are disciplined and their sole home defeats so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.

It smells of a one-all tie to me, but I am actually going to choose the London side to edge it for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.

Sutton's prediction: 1-2

Olly's prediction: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3

AI's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have been defeated in their previous couple games - albeit both of them were away - but they got thoroughly beaten by Villa last time out which surprised me.

In contrast, the Hammers secured back-to-back victories before the hiatus and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they appear strong again.

The Hammers' sole away victory this season came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when their boss Nuno was still Forest manager.

Therefore, what exactly do I go with here - will it be the Hammers extending their streak under their manager, or the home side responding?

I will go with the Cherries, because I believe what occurred against Villa was a blip.

The pundit's forecast: 2-0

Olly's outlook: The home team are doing well but the visitors have improved under Nuno. 2-2

AI's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were considered one of the favourites for relegation before the campaign started, but they have surprised a several observers under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three in their last four matches.

A family member advised me to select Bees striker Thiago in my fantasy soccer squad a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I ignored the advice.

The forward will probably score again on Saturday but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or back Brentford at Brighton's ground.

They have not had great success on the road this term, and the Seagulls are always strong at their stadium. Brentford will attempt to attack on the counter-attack but I feel Fabian Hurzeler's side pose much more of a threat.

Sutton's prediction: 2-1

Olly's prediction: This could be a match where you think there is going to be a many scores but it in reality proves to be rather tight. 1-1

AI's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a huge game for the Cottagers, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six games.

They have have lots of talent in their squad but it nonetheless seems like they could be dragged into a relegation battle.

Regarding the Black Cats, well they are the unexpected success of the top flight season so far.

Their performance in the 2-2 tie with Arsenal last time out was excellent. We have not witnessed any other team rough up the North London side like that this term, and Sunderland were fully competitive for them.

The sensible thing would be to support the visitors here, because they are clearly able of roughing the hosts up too and, the last time they were in west London, they defeated Chelsea at the close of last month.

But I am not going to do that. Rather, I truly need to carry on going against Sunderland with my predictions. I am claiming a lot of responsibility for their positive outcomes because they clearly enjoy to prove me wrong.

Looking at the home side's at Craven Cottage form, the only team they have lost to is the league leaders. Their manager's team will be extremely eager for a positive outcome, so I am going to say they will pick up three much-needed points.

The expert's prediction: 1-0

The guest's prediction: I'm aware Sunderland are performing strongly and additionally that the hosts are on a bad run... but they have still been decent at home this season. 2-0

AI's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a hard fixture to predict. Liverpool have suffered seven of their past 10 matches in all competitions, but might they be among the sides who benefit from the {international break|
